
SecuriGroup was proud to be recognised across a range of categories at the 2025 UK Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), with six finalist shortlistings highlighting the strength of our people, teams and wider business initiatives. The shortlist recognised individual excellence, team performance and our commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact.
Among the finalists were three exceptional security officers whose professionalism and dedication make a difference every day.
Youssef Vernege-Fanus was shortlisted for Outstanding Security Officer in recognition of his exceptional customer service, professionalism and leadership at a prestigious London site. Known for consistently exceeding expectations, Youssef has received outstanding client feedback for his calm, welcoming approach and commitment to delivering a first-class experience for everyone he encounters.
Neville McGlashan was recognised for a remarkable career spanning more than a decade at the Royal Albert Hall. Affectionately known as the "10-Star General", Neville was shortlisted for his unwavering professionalism, mentorship of new colleagues and the trust he has built with clients, visitors and the local community.
Derek Littlejohns earned recognition for his leadership and commitment to developing others, having successfully rebuilt and strengthened a security team while maintaining exceptionally high operational standards and supporting career progression for colleagues.
The Silverburn Security Team was shortlisted for Outstanding Security Team, recognising their proactive approach to tackling organised retail crime, protecting visitors and supporting one of Scotland's busiest retail destinations. Through strong partnerships, intelligence sharing and a customer-focused approach, the team continues to deliver outstanding results in a challenging environment.
SecuriGroup was also shortlisted for the Outstanding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative for our Secure Your Path programme, which helps create opportunities for young people and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds seeking careers in the security industry. The initiative reflects our belief that a diverse workforce creates stronger teams and better outcomes for the communities we serve.
Completing the list was a finalist place in the Outstanding Sustainability Award, recognising the progress we have made in embedding sustainability throughout our operations. From environmental initiatives and digital innovation to engaging colleagues in sustainable practices, the nomination reflected our commitment to reducing our environmental impact while continuing to deliver exceptional security services.
These shortlistings were a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the dedication, professionalism and passion demonstrated by our colleagues across the business every day.
