Control Room Operator - Glasgow

SecuriGroup is currently looking for a Control Centre Operator to join the existing team based in its Head Office in Glasgow.

The Control Centre is the central hub of the Company and is responsible for coordinating several functions from our Head Office based in Glasgow City Centre. It is a fast-paced environment, providing reactive response to a number of clients and staff members throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining our rostering system, ensuring that staff members are logging on for shifts and completing welfare calls as necessary.
  • Responding to ad hoc requests, forwarding to appropriate managers and liaising with service partners as required.
  • Responding to staff and management queries in a timely manner.
  • Providing advice on incidents that have been escalated to the Control Centre.
  • Completing appropriate paperwork whilst escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Responding to alarm call outs through liaising with appropriate personnel and arranging site attendance.
  • Taking ownership whilst dealing with high pressure situations, occasionally requiring communication with the emergency services.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving with a reliable, positive and professional attitude.
  • Element of compiling reports and statistical data within and external


  • Previous experience working in a customer service or call centre role would be highly beneficial.
  • Previous knowledge of the Security Industry would be beneficial although not essential.
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced and task-oriented environment.

  • You will be working with a custom made rostering system, the successful candidate will therefore be IT literate.
  • An excellent understanding of Outlook and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ideally holds a valid SIA License although training will be provided for the right candidate.

Working hours: This role will involve working a rotational shift pattern which can be discussed at the interview stage.
