Mental Health Awareness Training

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the ways we work and travel, and the ways we communicate with family, colleagues, and friends. For some of us they have been small changes, and for others they have been monumental.

At SecuriGroup, some areas of our business have continued as normal, but with stricter health and safety policies and social distancing measures, whilst other places of work have changed unrecognisably.

We have adapted our ways of working, completing TUPE consultations by Zoom and Teams, undertaking welfare checks by video and conference call, and adapting rotas to accommodate colleagues' childcare and transport arrangements. Even our shift patterns have been adjusted, creating small teams with no overlap with one another. Technology, and the constant release of updates to our SecuriGo app have allowed our teams to communicate from a distance and with no physical contact.

Initially, physical health and wellbeing of the country was prioritised. However, such sweeping changes have had a mental impact on us all. In recognition of #MentalHealthWeek, there is no better time to highlight the importance of mental health and wellbeing.

This week, SecuriGroup released our Mental Health Awareness training programme across our e-learning platform. Built by our talented development team, with content inspired by the NHS and foremost charities in the sector, this programme is tailored for security professionals and the pressures they face.

Open to colleagues across every area of our business, this course reflects our commitment in strengthening the society in which we live. Through continuous support to our colleagues and their families, we look forward to a positive future, exiting the pandemic even stronger than how we entered it.
