HarperCollins Publishers Client Understanding

Client Understanding

As one of the world’s leading book publishers, HarperCollins required a bespoke 24h security service for its Glasgow-based European distribution centre. SecuriGroup was selected due to its unparalleled local resilience, which allowed it to provide a rapid response to emergencies and ad hoc demands.

HarperCollins Publishers Operational Delivery

Operational Delivery

In order to provide an effective security service to a site of this scale – 70,000msq over two distribution centres-, SecuriGroup devised a 24h solution with a focus on purposeful patrols and clear reporting structures, allowing for any issues to be quickly identified and resolved and ensuring a rapid response time for emergencies.

Since 2011, SecuriGroup has provided security services to HarperCollins Publishing within their European distribution headquarters. I have been most impressed with both their management and frontline operations. They have proven to be reliable, flexible, and able to respond to short notice, ad hoc requests. Their best practice approach and the support from their 'hands-on' senior management have proven very successful.

HarperCollins Publishers Mobilisation

SecuriGroup carried out a full risk assessment, from which theft – internal and external – was identified as an area of priority. Our thorough vetting procedures allowed us to hire the most reliable and experienced staff, whilst regular scenario testing – including intrusion tests, suspect packages and vulnerability tests – ensure that they remain highly trained.

HarperCollins Publishers Results

Through a personal approach to management and staff welfare, SecuriGroup has built a lasting relationship with HarperCollins. We have developed an intimate knowledge of the centre at both boardroom and frontline levels, allowing us to seamlessly integrate with the site’s daily operations through a ‘One Team Ethos’ which lies at the very core of our service.
