Choose life. Choose a safe film premiere. Choose SecuriGroup.
SecuriGroup was chosen as the security supplier to the film premiere of Danny Boyle and Irvine Welsh's highly anticipated T2, the follow-up of 1996's cult classic Trainspotting.
Providing security for Trainspotting 2, the largest UK premier outside of London, our personnel ensured the follow up to the global cult classic went smoothly.
Going on to top the box office with more than £5 million in opening day tickets, the premier was a positive and successful experience for all involved.
Working closely with longstanding client Cineworld, SecuriGroup managed the hundreds of fans who crowded around Edinburgh's Fountain Park and braved the cold, wind and rain to catch a glimpse of Renton, Spud, Begbie, and Sick Boy.
Our security plan managed the diverse crowd dynamic using 65 experienced security professionals, ensuring a safe and smooth operation.
For such a high profile red/orange carpet event, attended by globally renowned celebrities and VIP guests, we deployed an experienced team of CP officers to support the event's close protection strategy.
T2 represents the largest of the premieres we have supported on behalf of SecuriGroup client, Cineworld. The extensive planning and operation of the prestigious event was managed by Iain Ramsay, SecuriGroup Area Manager, with support from Director Mark Hamilton.
An experienced management team, Iain and Mark were also responsible for the VIP security of Sir Paul McCartney's recent world tour.
Responding to a change in the pre-screening schedule on the day, SecuriGroup adapted our operation throughout the evening to mitigate the changing risk and threat profile.
SecuriGroup staff, including Fountain Park regulars, were delighted at the opportunity to be a part of the event, with many commenting that it was a "once in a lifetime opportunity" as Trainspotting is their favourite film.
