BII NITA Award For Training

SecuriGroup’s in-house training division, Blueprint Training Solutions, was named the winner of the Security Training Award at the BII (British Institute of Innkeeping) NITAs, at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena in February.

The security training category jointly sponsored by City & Guilds and the BIIAB recognises the organisation which delivers the highest standards of training and staff development within the security sector.

Blueprint has engaged a number of ‘return to work’ charities, promoting the BIIAB National Certificate for Door Supervisors (Scotland) (NCDS) as an opportunity to transform the futures of their clients. Blueprint has demonstrated a firm commitment to helping candidates with disabilities and those with complex barriers to employment. SecuriGroup managing director Russel Kerr said: “We create the right environment to boost the confidence and self esteem of candidates looking to gain formal qualifications. The NCDS is a worthwhile vocational award and prerequisite for applying for an SIA licence.''

Blueprint Training will join other category victors to be presented with their award in front of an audience of 1,000 industry representatives at the BII’s annual luncheon, at The Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane in May. At the lunch, judges will announce the winner of the Supreme Award. This is the person or organisation they consider has done the most to promote the benefits of training.

Glasgow-based SecuriGroup managing director Russel Kerr said: “We are delighted to collect this award so soon after being crowned the Security Industry Authority ACS Champions of the Year. This accolade recognises our continued goal of setting and improving standards within the private security industry. Our team work hard to develop and deliver cutting edge security training packages to equip personnel with the skills and confidence to excel.”
