Colonel John Kelly MBE joins SecuriGroup
Colonel John Kelly MBE joins SecuriGroup after a distinguished 40 year career with the British Army. Colonel Kelly retired earlier this year as Joint Regional Liaison Officer for Scotland, in which capacity he was the Military enabling Officer when the Civilian Community required Military Assistance, be it for fire, floods, foot and mouth, severe weather and counter terrorism related matters. He was commissioned into the Royal Highland Fusiliers (Princess Margaret’s own Glasgow and Ayrshire Regiment) and has served across the world principally in the UK, Northern Ireland, Canada, Germany, Belize, Brunei and Berlin. He has held a variety of appointments including Chief of Staff of the Ulster Defence Regiment, Commanding Officer of 2nd Battalion 51st Highland Volunteers and Deputy Project Manager in the Procurement Executive. A graduate of the prestigious 2 year Army Staff Course at Camberley, Colonel Kelly was awarded the MBE in the Operational Honours List of 1980. He maintains a military connection as the principal advisor on The Army Cadet Force in Scotland and in the civilian world is Collector of The Trades House of Glasgow.
